Updates

  • I encourage any and all upcoming musicians (especially children) to vist the newest addition to our home page, Ferrwood.org. 'Camp', as it is known to us, is undergoing a drastic metamorphosis this summer season. Under the directon of Mr. Philip Latella, camp will be infused with a new emphasis on music education. Qualified music teachers from the Hazleton, Philadephia and Bloomsburg area will be offering musical instruction on several families on instruments. As 'Father Joe' would always say, "A vacation with a purpose!" Please check our newest website if you're interested in a valuable, exciting, musical and fun vacation this summer!

  • If you notice there are not adequate details about certain events being hosted by the Philharmonic within the webpage, I do encourage you to always call the center's main office at 455 - 2188 for details. Because of editing difficulties I face at college, I can only update this site when I am using a home computer. I apologize for any inconvenience. As summer approaches, I will be able to update continuously! Please always check with our office if there are any details you need regarding a certain event!

  • Planning a fall or winter wedding? Interested in a quartet or trio? Check The Four Muses, a partner site to the HPSO website.

  • Enjoying the music you're listening to? If you'd like to listen to more samples of the Hazleton Philharmonic Big Band Sound, please check out the Big Band's page under the Affiliates section.

    Glenn Miller's "Moonlight Serenade"

  • There are lots of upcoming events this Spring including another coalition with the PTPA featuring "Hello Dolly," a Big Band dinner dance, and Beech Mountain's Valentine's Day movie theme inspired dinner -- just to name a few. If you're interested, please check the calendar of events for January through May '08!

  • If you are looking for any additional information, or simply have a question, please direct your calls to the Philharmonic Center at 455-2188.

  • Don't forget that the PA Theatre of Performing Arts (PTPA) is performing various and sundry shows at the center this season. Call 570-455-2188 if you'd like tickets or more information regarding their performances.
  • Leaving?

Thanks so much for coming! Please return soon because there are always updates and events.
